The Wonderful World of Petros Koublis

If you follow the photography scene, you probably know the magical images of Petros Koublis. With his work he may surprise us again and again and we cannot escape the aesthetic power.

The viewer catches a glimpse of the miraculous and, so to speak, wonderful dreamscape, which fascinate us with its qualities of poetry and sensuality.

„There is no beauty that is timeless but the timelessness of nature can reflect a new direction, maybe even a hope.
It’s not a blissful silence but it’s an inspiring one.“ – Petros Koublis

Indefinitely – Katrin Koenning

The work of the Melbourne-based artist Katrin Koenning invite us to take an extensive look at her conceptual approach to deal with her own personal family past. The personal migrant background and a family scattered all over the world are the basis for the artistic engagement with space and existence.

Already her work „Dear Chris“ (2013), dedicated to her cousin’s husband who committed suicidehas touched us deeply. Her series „Indefinitely“ now wins the 2015 Daylight Photo Awards.

„Indefinitely is about love and a seemingly infinite space that is, in fact, filled to the rim with all kinds of things.“ – Katrin Koenning

Ren Hang – exhibition at Ostlicht gallery in Vienna

There are 11 days left to visit the solo exhibition of Ren Hang at the Ostlicht gallery in Vienna. Ren Hang’s work with his own imagery is unique and clear, and that’s something we are looking for. His work is sometimes disturbing, but he do not exceed the provocation. In addition to his poetry, his pictures are simply fascinating.

Michael Lange is an artist who magnifies the nature – his work is adorable anjust beautiful. The new series „FLUSS“ is following the beautiful work „Wald“, published as a book in 2012.

“My images express a longing for pacification, depth and beauty — and the desire to lose oneself. A part of my work is to trace the unceasing process of change until a landscape is in harmony with internal images that express my feelings. To understand the depth, inherent order and aesthetic within apparent chaos. To transform the landscape in combination with external influences — fog, frost, the change of the seasons, light, the water level — in correspondence with my imagination, to play with the elements, to take them a step further and combine them with my photographic language.” – Michael Lange

The work has been released as a photo book: F L U S S (RIVER) by publisher HatjeCantz.

Until June 28th 2015, the works can be seen in his exhibition „FLUSS“ at the Alfred Ehrhardt Foundation in Berlin.
